The Old Hastings Mercantile & Gallery
Discover room after room filled with the work of more than 100 Canadian artists and artisans, as well as thousands of items to amuse, delight and pamper every member of the family. Owned and operated by Lillian Oakley Pattison - painter and musician, and Gary Pattison - musician and photographer.
Housed in Ormsby’s 1890s general store, The Old Hastings Gallery features an old-fashioned shopping experience in one of the six remaining ‘ghost towns’ of North Hastings County’s original settlement road. You can also visit the restored heritage buildings, The Old Schoolhouse Tea Room and The Old Ormsby Heritage Church, with their tin walls and ceilings, oil lamps and wood stoves. Historic ‘downtown’ Ormsby, population 20, is found at the corner of Hwy 620 and The Old Hastings Road.
